The Santa Ynez Valley Backgammon Club is one of the few active backgammon clubs serving the Santa Barbara area, including Santa Barbara, Solvang, Buellton, Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Lompoc, Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo.

Founded by Teri Harmon in 2025, the Santa Ynez Valley Backgammon Club has grown into a welcoming community for both experienced players and newcomers.
As Teri relocates to Nevada, Marty S has assumed responsibility for organizing the club and continuing its tradition of friendly competition, learning, and social play.
Games range from casual play to competitive matches, including optional use of the doubling cube and match-play formats (best 2 out of 3 or match up to 5 points). Players are encouraged to bring a board if available, although boards are usually available at club meetings.
